No. Most CCR&R agencies serve one or more counties. Although the CCR&R may be located in a city that is different from the zip code or county you entered, you will still be able to receive information about child care options in the area you specified.
With more than 600 CCR&Rs across the country, CCR&Rs are in nearly every community. Call Child Care Aware at 1-800-424-2246 if a CCR&R is not listed for your area.
Most CCR&Rs do not charge fees. However, CCR&Rs that do charge fees usually offer a sliding fee scale. This means that families are charged a fee based on their ability to pay. When you contact your CCR&R, ask if there is a fee involved with their services or check out the details icon on the CCR&R page.
Your local CCR&R has information about local, state, and government grants, tax credits and scholarships that may be able to help you meet the cost of child care. Also, take a moment to read Finding Help Paying for Child Care for general information about the types of financial assistance available.
